Tata hunting area

The Tata hunting area is one of Hungary’s most prestigious hunting destinations, renowned for its beautiful natural surroundings and abundant game. Located just half an hour from Budapest and only an hour from the Austrian border, it lies close to the motorway, within a historic hunting region with deep-rooted traditions. The territory forms part of the Tata Lake and its surroundings, situated in one of the most scenic regions of Transdanubia. The Tata hunting area offers excellent opportunities for hunting and for experiencing the closeness of nature.

The hunting area is inhabited by a wide variety of game species, including wild boar, roe deer, mouflon, red deer, and fallow deer, as well as smaller game such as hare and pheasant. Thanks to its rich game population and diverse habitats, the area offers ideal conditions for hunters during their outings.

The Tata hunting area is an excellent destination not only for hunters but also for nature enthusiasts, and nature photographers. The surrounding landscape of Lake Tata is rich in natural beauty, featuring a wide variety of birdlife and unique flora, offering visitors the chance to explore the wonders of nature between hunts. The Tata hunting grounds provide a unique experience that combines the excitement of the hunt with the serenity of nature—perfect for those who appreciate both hunting and outdoor activities. During their stay, guests can enjoy not only the thrill of hunting but also the harmony and tranquility of the natural environment.

At any given time, we can accompany up to 6 hunting guests on our grounds, and we are able to organize driven wild boar hunts for groups of up to 20 participants. Currently, we do not yet have our own accommodation facilities; however, we can arrange lodging for our hunting guests within a 20-kilometer radius, either at the Károlyi Castle or the Gottwald Hotel.
