Our hunting area in Császár is located between the Vértes and Bakony mountain ranges, comprising approximately 1,300 hectares of enclosed game area and 2,500 hectares of open hunting grounds. The territory is 97% forested, offering an ideal habitat for big game. The land, once part of the historic Esterházy estate, was managed for game by a local hunting association after World War II, beginning in the late 1960s, over an area of 5,400 hectares.
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, as part of a game restocking program, fallow deer were introduced to the hunting area from Gyulaj. These animals were not hunted until the mid-1990s. By the early 1990s, the hunting grounds supported a significant population of both red deer and fallow deer, and the area had long been known for its exceptionally high wild boar population.
In 1997, due to the new hunting legislation and the redistribution of hunting grounds, the area was divided into two parts. The heavily forested 3,400-hectare section came under the management of the State Forestry Service. Within this area, a game preserve of over 1,000 hectares was established in 2000. The forestry authority opened up previously untouched forest sections and began organizing the first driven wild boar hunts.
In 2001, the Göbölös family first secured a long-term management agreement with the State Forestry Service for the open hunting area surrounding the game preserve. From 2003 onward, this agreement was extended to include the game preserve itself. Since 2011, the game preserve has been operated by Hungarowild Ltd., a company owned by the family. Each year, the company also enters into a hunting agreement for the entire planned harvest quota of the open hunting area.

Since 2011, we have been practicing targeted game management with the aim of improving the trophy quality of our fallow deer, red deer, and mouflon populations, as well as increasing the body weight of our wild boar stock. Numerous trophies taken from our hunting area rank among the top 50 on both the Hungarian and international record lists, and each year we harvest several wild boars reaching live weights of up to 250 kg. We have specialized in high-volume driven wild boar hunts, in which we consistently break both national and personal records year after year.
In addition to our first-class hunts, nearly 60 tons of game meat are marketed annually from our hunting area. To support this, we expanded our game cooling capacity as part of a new investment in 2022. As a result, we are now able to store and chill up to 100 game animals at the same time.
In 2022, we fully renewed our vehicle fleet. Our hunting guests are now welcomed on the hunting grounds by 9 brand-new off-road vehicles. Additionally, we handle airport transfers ourselves using a fleet of brand-new Toyota passenger cars and pickups.

At any given time, we can accompany up to 6 hunting guests on our territory, and we are able to organize driven wild boar hunts for groups of up to 20 hunters. Currently, we do not yet offer on-site accommodation; however, within a 20 km radius of the hunting area, our guests can be comfortably lodged either at the Károlyi Castle or the Gottwald Hotel.
